The Viewing
is finished
the body 's now washed
ready for its last rites
words are spoken in tenderness
(goodbye my friend)
the body is transported to level six
med-central
each organ going
to its separate repository
flesh returning to flesh
spirit to spirit
and in my memory-cells
you still live!
