Storms of Spring
storms of spring settling the dust
clouds swirling in waves gigantic
all the shades of gray
swinging thru the sky
taste these days of sunrays
breaking in dappled holes
drilling softly
thru layered atmosphere
to strike silently on rocks,
sink into green chlorophyll
kindling the inner chambers
of plant cells
bands of sunbeams
stripe the valleys that rush
in widening fields from the base
of Sandia's granite, tall
the flowers come in colors
thru distance & time
