Osha Springs III if you listen in the emerald morn' damp from dew & rain you hear mice padding thru the lush carpeted woods carrying baskets of apple-pancakes back to their cozy burrows if you listen past the rustle of rodents, hold your breath just a moment you hear the chuckling of elves as they harvest the bushels of brite orange-caps, hear their soft working songs can I touch your hair of fire? may I whisper in your vulcan ear? when did you make this your kingdom & forest green your cloths? I'm mesmerized by your feline eyes your cools hands in mine mist-minted breath enchanting tunes - your laughter chimes forever.... Copyright 1986, edited 2006 njTare |
